Cyclone Transfer Target: Jacob Toppin

Rhode Island’s Jacob Toppin, brother of National Player of the year award winner Obi Toppin is a target for the Cyclones. He has announced his top 3 schools which include Iowa State, Oregon and Kentucky. In his freshman year, he averaged 5.1 PPG and 3.9 RPG for Rhode Island. The forward provides length that the Cyclones need at 6’7” but also provides speed. Toppin will need to apply for immediate eligibility for next year if he wishes to play. This could be the big transfer that Steve Prohm needs. However, a transfer point guard is still in need.
