Picture

Alabama Forward/Center Javian Davis has entered the transfer portal. The 6-9 big has already received interest from countless schools including Xavier, Arkansas, Mississippi State, Dayton, Georgetown, Wake Forest and others to go along with his interest from Iowa State. The Canton, Mississippi had an up and down season last year for the Crimson Tide, averaging 6 points and nearly 4 assists. Davis had some flashes of excellence during the season, racking up 20 points and 10 rebounds in an outing against South Carolina in February last season. The incoming sophomore has began showing some range from 3, however the outside shooting is still in progress as he shot 25 percent from behind the arc last season.

Coming out of high school, Davis had 22 offers, including interest and an offer from the Cyclones. The top 300 player also had offers from Clemson, Georgetown, Ole Miss, Tennessee, TCU and others before he chose Alabama. David was ranked as the 45th center in the class of 2018 and the third ranked player in Mississippi. The incoming sophomore will have to apply for an immediate eligibility waiver from the NCAA if he wishes to play immediately. Here are some of Javian’s highlights from high school: Fun Fact: Davis played AAU basketball with Tyler Harris, who just transferred to Iowa State from Memphis.
