Cyclones in the 2020 NBA Playoffs
All Eight Cyclones in the NBA have made the playoffs this season. We break all this down more in-depth in the Podcast:
Monte Morris-Denver Nuggets

Monte Morris’ Nuggets have earned the 3rd seed in the Western Conference and will face of against the Utah Jazz (George Niang) in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. Morris holds a key role for the nuggets off the bench as the backup point guard. The Michigan natie averaged nearly 9 PPG to go along with 3.5 APG and 1.8 RPG.
Georges Niang- Utah jazz

Goerges Niang’s Jazz have earned the 6th seed in the Western Conference and will face of against the Denver Nuggets (Monte Morris) in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. Niang has had a larger role for the Jazz this season, especially in the bubble with added injuries for Utah. The former Iowa State big man averaged 5.8 PPG and nearly 2 RPG for Utah this season.
Matt Thomas-Toronto Raptors

The Raptors have locked up the second seed in the East and Matty Ice has really burst on the scene after signing a multi year contract. Thomas was one of the best 3 point shooters in the NBA, shooting at 47% from deep and averaging nearly 5 PPG. He will help the Raptors in spot minutes as they take on the Nets in the first round of the playoffs.
Abdel Nader-OKC Thunder

Nader along with the Thunder have locked up the 4th seed. Nader, who bounced around the league before finding some solid minutes with the Thunder this season, and averaged 6.3 PPG and nearly 2 RPG. Look for the former Cyclone to get some minutes in the playoffs against the Rockets.

Deonte Burton-OKC Thunder

Burton and the Thunder have locked up the 4th seed. Burton, who had an amazing summer league, earned spot minutes for Oklahoma City this season, and averaged 2.6 PPG and 1.3 RPG. Look for Burton to fight for some spot minutes in the playoffs this season against the Rockets.
Talen Horton-Tucker- Los Angeles Lakers

Horton-Tucker who is in his rookie year with the Lakers, started his first game in the bubble. He scored 14 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists in that first start. Talen averaged 4 points a game for the Lakers this season, but will most likely not see the floor for the Lakers for the playoffs where they take on either the Grizzlies or Trailblazers.
Marial Shayok-Philidelphia 76ers

try { window._mNHandle.queue.push(function (){ window._mNDetails.loadTag(“490633297”, “320×50”, “490633297”); }); } catch (error) {}
Shayok has bounced between the 76er’s G League affiliate and the NBA during his rookie year, but made the 76ers bubble roster where he has played well in few minutes. He averaged 2 PPG and 1.7 RPG throughout his time up in the NBA. Do not expect to see the former Cyclone too much in the playoffs when the 76ers take on the Celtics.
Naz Mitrou-Long-Indiana Pacers

Long, who has bounced around the NBA, made the Pacers Bubble Roster. The former Iowa State sharpshooter has dealt with injuries the past year but has appeared in 4 games for Indiana. He is averaging 3.5 PPG and nearly 2 APG, however, do not expect to see Naz in the playoff rotation against the Heat.
