Xavier Foster- Forward/Center (IA)
Xavier Foster had been a target of ISU’s for multiple years, and Foster choosing the Cyclones over Iowa was huge for Iowa State’s basketball Program. He is a top 5 rated Cyclone basketball recruit of the decade and is ranked a top 4 star by both ESPN and 247 Sports. 247 Sports ranks him 68th nationally and the 12th best center in the class of 2020. Here is his announcement at Oskaloosa High School which was a big time deal:
try { window._mNHandle.queue.push(function (){ window._mNDetails.loadTag(“490633297”, “320×50”, “490633297”); }); } catch (error) {}
The 7 footer showed his ability to stretch the floor and also showed an insane ability to protect the rim. His pogo stick leaping ability also creates an ability for him to dunk on opponents. All of these things are shown in his highlight video by QuadVisual:
try { window._mNHandle.queue.push(function (){ window._mNDetails.loadTag(“416515166”, “300×250”, “416515166”); }); } catch (error) {}
Foster was able to lead Oskaloosa to a 3A state title in Iowa his Junior year with the help of UNI commit Cole Henry, but fell short his senior year. He still put up monster number however, averaging over 23 PPG and almost 10R RPG and 4 BPG. These are especially impressive, given the fact that these are 32 minute games, with no shot clock. Foster’s development and the question of his strength will be big for the Cyclones in the upcoming seasons. Look for Foster to be in the Cyclone rotation immediately.
Dudley Blackwell- Guard (FL)
Fort Lauderdale Native Dudley Blackwell is another strong Cyclone in the class of 2020. A top 10 rated recruit during this decade for Cyclone Basketball, Dudley chose the Cyclones over many offers, including schools like Ohio State, Florida State and Marquette. He is ranked a 4 star recruit by both ESPN and 247 Sports and looks to get some minutes early in his career for Iowa State.

The 6-5 guard played for the top AAU league in the nation, Nike EYBL league, and caught some attention by putting up some big numbers. He was also invited to the NBPA top 100 camp, showing how highly he is valued as a recruit nation wide.
Here are some INSANE Dudley Blackwell AAU Highlights:
try { window._mNHandle.queue.push(function (){ window._mNDetails.loadTag(“890572087”, “970×90”, “890572087”); }); } catch (error) {}
Jaden Walker-Point Guard(GA)
The 6-5 true point guard looks to follow in Tyrese Haliburton’s footsteps and looks to lead the Cyclones. However, even with his great talent, that may not happen for at least another year with the new talented guard transfers coming to Ames in Tyler Harris and Jalen Coleman-Lands. Walker was given a 4 star rating by ESPN and a 3 star rating by 247 Sports. Walker chose ISU over New Mexico, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech and others. He emerged late as a top prospect and is known for being a very hard worker. He excelled late at the point guard role for his AAU team and also starred at Discovery High School. It has been known ISU has been looking for a true point guard and the additional of Walker will fill that need for the Cyclones in the future.

DarlinStone Dubar-Guard (PA)
6-6 Guard/Forward Darlinstone Dubar rounds out the Cyclone’s class of 2020. The North Carolina native chose ISU over schools like Notre Dame, Maryland, Seton Hall, Auburn and Wichita State. Dubar was one of the top rated 3 star prospects by 247 Sports with a 90+ grade. He was also given a 3 star grade by ESPN. Dubar was one of the stars on his Maze Elite AAU team and led them to the championship Under Amour Finals game.

Dubar earned his high recruiting profile with his work at the high school and AAU level. He was one of the stars on his Maze Elite AAU team and led them to the championship Under Amour Finals game. Dubar will look to contribute for the Cyclones in his first view years off the bench and hopefully provide a scoring punch from the bench position.
