Iowa State Announces No Fans at Opener

Jamie Pollard announced Iowa State will not allow fans into Jack Trice Stadium for Iowa State’s home opener against Louisiana on September 12th.  A 25,000 fan limit, which is about 40 percent of Jack Trice’s normal capacity, was released on Monday for the opening game, but then the University changed their mind on Wednesday. Iowa State will make their decisions game by game, but it is certain that mask mandate and other health measures will be enforced. Pollard also says that everyone must follow the guidelines when fans return to the stadium, and the lack of guidelines followed could result in Iowa State not welcoming any more fans into Jack Trice Stadium for the rest of the season.
