St. Bonaventure guard Jaren Holmes as committed to play at Iowa State next season. the Michigan native has one year of eligibility left and was a big part of the Bonnie’s success last year, where he led the Bonnies to a NIT semifinal appearance. The guard saw his shooting number decline last season but still put up 13.5 points per game along with 5 rebounds per game and 3.6 assists per game in 2021-22. The previous year, Holmes scored 13.8 points per game to go along with 5.3 rebounds per game in 2020-21. That year, he also shot over 38% from three and over 42% from the field. Here are some highlights from Jaren’s 38 point night against Saint Joesphs:

Holmes bring some guard depth to the Cyclones after losing Tyrese Hunter, Brockington, Jaden Walker and Tre Jackson. With the strong possibility of AJ Green coming to Iowa State, he looks like a strong complimentary guard to Green.
