Where are They Now?-Royce White
Royce White was ranked as a four or five star recruit coming out of high school due to him starring on multiple Minnesota state championship teams. He committed to Minnesota and due to struggles with the team, White transferred to Iowa State where he starred. The forward led the Cyclones in EVERY major statistical category during the 2011-12 season, leading to him being selected with the 16th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets.

White struggled with issues with the Rockets organization and their lack of help with mental health issues. Specifically his fear of flying, which would have to happen close to 100 times per season with the organization. He played mostly in the NBA Developmental League and traveled mainly by bus. The next season (2013-14), Royce White was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers. He was eventually waived before playing for the 76ers and was signed to the Kings. While playing for Sacramento, he bounced between the Development League and the main Sacramento Kings. He moved on in the 2015 season, and played for the Los Angeles Clippers Summer League team.

During the next season, Royce moved on to play with the London Lightning of the Canadian Basketball League, where he won MVP and led to team to a Championship. He resigned with the team during the 2017-18 season, and led the league in scoring, before receiving a suspension ending his season due to an altercation. White playing for the Lighting:

After signing in Italy but deciding not to play, White decided to transition to Mixed Martial Arts in 2019, and continue to strive to help players and people across the world with their struggles with mental health. He returned to basketball later in 2019, playing in the nationally televised BIG 3 league, featuring top basketball talent playing three verus three games. White dominated in many of these games and proved he can still play at a high level.
In May of 2020, White announced he will be playing for Iowa United in “The Basketball Tournament” featuring the best basketball players from around the world who do not play in the NBA.
